Barbados: Precisley - Monday, February 25th
How easily we forget what we left behind. No, I haven't run out of Roos Roast yet but I caught my self taking for granted the simplicity of what I'm enjoying here. (A Dangerous move for the modern traveler) Things like eating breakfast bare foot, writing and deciding if I want to windsurfing or surfing at a sandy launch with coral reef break only a short walk away. (No driving yay!)
Check this fish sandwich made right here in the kitchen of Martin's Great Barbados guest house Sonora.
The simple act of breathing here in Barbados (pronounced "Ba Ba Dos")gives one a dose of a clean salty brine with the slightest hint of sushi.
The people are friendly and sincere. I would say back to basics.
Oh, there are risks, The reef is very sharp, safety features on cars are for people who use excel spread sheets, the waves can be large, (When I asked Brian Telma, the local windsurf guru and shop owner, if he could tell me about sailing out thru the breaking waves and the reef? (in front of his shop) He said, "Mon, do not study the reef this is a wave spot.Just go out and get the action."
Nice? right?
The water is so beautiful, and so are the monkeys.
Who wants to learn how to kite board this summer? I do.
