I haven't met a coffee that doesn't go with breakfast (I want to talk about Breakfast Blends) - Thursday, October 2nd

Check me if I'm wrong, but coffee and breakfast in the morning are aspects of the day similar to birds singing, the sun rising, opening your eyes, getting out to of bed, and realizing what day it is.

As long as you start with fresh roast coffee, good water, the grind is burr, and you're using the Aero-Press, you've got your coffee to go with breakfast.

What I'm getting at here is over the years I've heard and keep hearing requests for a "breakfast blend" and I'm always stumped. What coffee is NOT a breakfast blend? What coffee doesn't go with breakfast?

Breakfast blend came out of the vague vacuum of coffee industry marketing when there were 5 national roasters of coffee.

If someone has some thoughts on this, please let me know.

Sure, maybe every coffee goes with breakfast, but some might go better than others. I want to see RoosRoast create the breakfast-blendiest coffee of them all.

that particular "blend " has always been an enigma to me too. but in my it's something really strong and with sludge at the bottom. an appropriate analogy would be: if regular coffee is beer, in the morning give me straight whiskey.

I think you should ask yourself what is more important : a sophisticated argument or point of sale. It doesn't matter what it is -- someone will buy it. =D/

What spareparts said. If I didn't know anything about coffee, I'd just be all, "Give me the morning blend!" Which is kinda like saying, "Give me the beer that will make me drunk." Sorta like that.

It ain't decaf. That's for sure. Something balanced to get you going on the right (or left) foot, flavorful to awake the senses, and caffeinated to get you out the door. Maybe its a RR sampler pack: A new coffee for each day of the week. Sidamo for Monday, Sumatra for Tuesday, etc....

What all of ya all are saying sounds like this: You better have an Areo Press and your coffee fresh. You better be seeing the grounds rising and frothy like the sun in the morning fog, you better be tasting some light roast charm along with a base note of African drums. By George I've got it and I'm off to the roaster to build you a Breakfast blend. Thank for all the feed back and more to come.

Just wanted to say that the cup of cowboy coffee this morning was amazing. My preference seems to be toward strong, thick coffee that you kinda have to chew. Maybe it is from years of making french press because my husband doesn't like coffee (gasp!). I'm still trying to win him over, but so far all he really likes are cubano shots with a little cream and some cinnamon. Anyway- keep making the cowboy coffee. It was great- and really fun for the fall, too. Have a great one out there today! -Keri

We seen the aeropress advertised here on this website and after purchasing it and trying it we would recommend it to anyone that likes espresso. The full and rich flavor it produces with the Roos coffee's is unbelieveable!! Main Street Motors

I concur with Jay & Brian -- the AeroPress is the single best coffee-related accessory I\'ve EVER used. It\'s easy to use, quicker than quick, and makes really outstanding espresso. American-style coffee made with the AeroPress reminds me of the fancy Italian coffee stands I encountered last time I was in Europe - rich (not watery) with a wonderful bit of crema. Seriously, forget the $500.00 espresso machine - just buy an AeroPress from Roos Roast!
